CTBC Bank confirms that one of our non-client facing employees at the Head Office in Bonifacio Global City has tested positive for COVID-19, as per test results released this morning, April 14, 2020. The employee last reported to work on April 8, 2020, and currently does not show any symptoms. The Bank is providing support to the employee and the family.
The Bank's priority has always been to protect its employees' health and well-being and as such has immediately initiated the temporary closure of its Head Office premises to undertake complete disinfection. Identified primary contacts were also asked to go into self-quarantine and are being closely monitored and guided. Furthermore, the Bank is coordinating with health authorities to assure that the Bank continues to take all appropriate precautions.
CTBC Bank Head Office-based employees in the interim will perform their functions in the Bank's alternate sites today, until further notice, while our clients may also continue to transact in our Business Centers nationwide which remain to be open or through our NetBanking facility and ATMs.
