Regulation on Large Value Cash Transactions

Pursuant to BSP Circular No. 1218, also known as “Regulation on Large Value Cash Transactions”, please be advised that effective October 7, 2025, the Bank will be implementing further verification procedures and may request additional documents for withdrawals in excess of ₱500,000.00 (or its equivalent in foreign currency).

Furthermore, below are some important reminders:

• Cash withdrawals exceeding ₱500,000.00 may either be made through a single transaction or a series of transactions within one (1) banking day;
• Cash transactions exceeding ₱500,000.00 must be processed only through traceable channels such as check payments, fund transfers, direct credit to deposit accounts, and/or other forms using the Bank’s digital payment platforms; and
• Should the client prefer the large payouts to be made in cash, additional identification AND/OR proof of legitimate business purpose or transaction will be required.
