Ez Start Online Account Application FAQs

The CTBC Bank’s EZ Start Online Account Application is a web portal that offers individuals the convenience of applying for a Peso Savings and/or Cash Card account/s and submitting the necessary documentary requirements.

Currently, only Filipino citizens who are at least 18 years old and are residing in the Philippines are eligible to apply for a deposit and/or cash card account online.

Currently, individuals can apply for the following account types:

  • Peso Savings Account (ATM-based)
  • Peso Savings Account (Passbook-based)
  • MySaves Cash Card
  • SSS Visa Cash Card

Simply visit https://www.ctbcbank.com.ph, select the Ez Start Online Account Application hyperlink found in the homepage and click Deposit and Cash Card option.

As part of the online account application process, you will be required to upload the following:

  • One (1) government-issued ID with your photo and signature (front and back)
  • A selfie photo holding the government-issued ID uploaded in the Online Account Application platform
  • Three (3) specimen signature (written on a clean paper)

Note: Image should be in JPEG or PNG format; maximum image size is 2MB.

The following government-issued IDs are accepted:

  • PhilSys ID / PhilSys Digital ID / ePhilID
  • Philippine Passport including those issued by foreign governments
  • Driver’s License (or official receipt for new Driver’s License with expired license ID)
  • Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) ID
  • National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance
  • Police Clearance
  • Barangay Certification
  • Government Service Insurance System (GSIS)
  • Social Security System (SSS) Card / Unified Multi-Purpose ID
  • Postal ID
  • Senior Citizen Card
  • PWD ID
  • Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) ID
  • OFW ID
  • Seaman’s Book
  • MARINA ID
  • Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) / Immigrant Certification of Registration (ICR)
  • Government Office and GOCC ID (e.g. Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF) IDs)

  • Student ID signed by the principal or head of school (for OFW beneficiaries who are not of voting age and transactions involve remittance claims)
  • Special Investor’s Resident VISA (SIRV) Card

Simply click the Save As Draft button and all information you have inputted will be saved and temporarily stored in our system. You have twenty-four (24) hours from the date you saved the draft to complete and submit your online account application. Should you wish to continue, you are required to input the Reference Number that was sent to you via email when you saved the draft.

If you fail to complete and submit the online application, all information and documents submitted will be disregarded and permanently deleted from our system.

If you are unable to receive the OTP after three (3) attempts due to technical or network issues, please try again after twenty-four (24) hours.

To open the password-protected PDF file, enter your date of birth following this format: MM/DD/YYYY. For example:

  • Date of Birth: January 1, 2024
  • Password: 01/01/2024 (include slash)

You will be notified of the status of your online account application through your registered email address.

Once your online account application has been reviewed and verified, your preferred CTBC Bank branch of account will contact you to schedule your visit to the branch and complete the account opening process.

When you visit the branch, keep in mind to bring the following documents:

  • Original copy of the government-issued ID you uploaded in the Online Account Application platform.
  • Funds to be deposited to your CTBC Bank account.

Submission of other documents may be requested prior to account opening process.

Your bank statement will be sent to your registered email address on a monthly basis. Alternatively, you can register to CTBC Bank’s Retail NetBanking via mobile banking app or web interface to enjoy 24/7 access to your account.
